Hands on Atlanta
In 1993, Ricky Steele asked Hands On Atlanta to plan a service project for Meeting Planners Internationals upcoming national meeting in Atlanta. Ricky Steele married hospitality industry leaders and Hands On Atlantas experience in designing service initiatives, and Hands On Atlantas Hospitality Helping Hands program was born.
The mission of the program is to partner with the hospitality industry to engage visiting groups on service projects, bringing untapped human and financial resources to Atlantas communities. In 1998-99 alone, Hospitality Helping Hands engaged more than 2,500 visiting volunteers. Ricky tirelessly served as the chair of Hands On Atlantas Hospitality Helping Hands program for five years acting as head cheerleader, salesman, and fundraiser. Ricky expanded Hands On Atlantas relationships within one of Atlantas major industries.
Ricky, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, continues his commitment to service as a member of the Advisory Board of Hands On Atlanta and with his involvement in the Hospitality Helping Hands program.
